- I have a valid work permit and an excavation certificate.
- I confirm that the excavation area is clearly marked off and barricaded.
- I stay alert to the location of underground structures and networks.
- I position machinery and extract material at least one meter away from the excavation area.
- I secure the excavated area by suitable measures to mitigate risk of cave-ins and flooding.
- I enter an excavation deeper than 1.5 m only if the access is secured, additional means of access & exit are provided and follow Confined Space
Entry protocols.
